Turkish peach and nectarine exports up 134%
Türkiye exported $343.4 million of peaches and nectarines in January–August 2026, against $146.7 million a year earlier. Volume rose 124% to 184,356 tonnes. Iraq was the largest destination for peaches at $72 million, and shipments reached 60 countries. The figures are from the Aegean Exporters' Associations.
What it means for you
Iraq is the top market for Turkish peaches, and this season's supply has roughly doubled. Plentiful volume favours buyers who book early — bearing in mind that fresh fruit needs a phytosanitary certificate on every shipment.
