Turkish food export prices 6.5% higher than a year ago
TÜİK data for July 2026 show the export unit value index up 8.2% year on year, with food, beverages and tobacco up 6.5%. Export volume fell 4.9%, and the terms-of-trade index slipped from 95.3 to 91.3.
What it means for you
The same Turkish food product cost around 6.5% more in July than a year earlier. If you are comparing a new quote with last year's price, that gap is normal rather than a supplier overreaching — it is a larger gap that deserves a question.
